FPO (Farmer Producer Organisation) members will get additional profit of Rs 10,000 per hectare on purchase of green peas from companies. With this, the income of the farmers will increase as per the intention of the Central Government. To double the income of farmers, agreements have been made with big companies through FPO.

According to media reports, Uttar Pradesh government has entered into FPO agreement with ITC Company, M/s Shanti Cold Storage Pvt Ltd, Raj Frozen, Sonu Traders Lucknow, Bhu Kranti to provide fair price for green peas to the farmers in Jalaun. An MOU has also been signed regarding this.
Farmers will earn one crore rupees from peas
The Agriculture Minister said that the state government is constantly trying to improve the economic condition of the farmers. At present, two agricultural production organizations are active in Jalaun, in which more than 600 farmer members are associated. Due to the production of peas, these farmers will get a net profit of one crore rupees. Farmers’ income will increase more in the coming years. He said that there are 75 districts in the state. It will be the endeavor of the State Government to increase the income of the farmers by coming forward in the same way in all the districts.
